Your Apple Watch workouts, inside Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini.
Riven is automatic exercise tracking and muscle failure detection on the Apple Watch. The Riven MCP server connects it to your AI assistant, so you can ask about every workout, set by set: which exercises you did, your reps, and how close each set came to true muscle failure. Free, read-only, and you can disconnect any time.

What you can ask
- "Which muscles did I actually take to failure this week?"
- "Show me every workout from October, set by set."
- "My chest sets keep stopping short. What should I change on Thursday?"
- "How has my lat pulldown changed over the last month?"
- "Compare this week with last week and plan next week around what I skipped."

What the assistant can read
| Tool | What it returns |
|---|---|
get_all_workouts | Every workout with its full per-set breakdown: exercise, muscle, reps, failure % and verdict for each set (paged, your whole history) |
list_workouts | An overview of your workouts: date, duration, sets, reps, muscles worked, sets that reached failure |
get_workout | One workout set by set |
failure_by_muscle | Per muscle group: sets, reps, sets at failure, average failure % |
weekly_summary | This week against last week |
exercise_history | Your progress on one exercise over time |
The failure score runs from 0 to 100: 90 and above means the set reached muscle failure, 75 to 89 near failure, 50 to 74 working, and under 50 stopped short.
Privacy and security
- Read-only. The assistant can't add, change or delete anything.
- Only your workouts. Never heart rate, sensor data, Apple Health data, your name or your email.
- You approve every connection. Sign in with Apple, see exactly which assistant is asking, then tap Allow.
- Standard OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Short-lived, rotating access keys that are stored only as hashes and work only for Riven.
- Disconnect any time from your assistant's settings. Deleting your Riven profile ends every connection.
Details are in our Privacy Policy (§ 2.9).
Frequently asked questions
What is the Riven MCP server?
It is a connector that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini read your Riven workout history, so you can ask questions about your training in plain language. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard these assistants use to connect to apps.
Is it free?
Yes. Connecting Riven to an AI assistant is free on every Riven plan.
What can the assistant see?
Only your workouts: dates and duration, and for every set the exercise, the muscle group, the reps and the muscle failure score. Never your heart rate, sensor data, Apple Health data, name or email.
Can the assistant change my workouts?
No. Every tool is read-only. The assistant cannot add, edit or delete anything in Riven.
Why do I have to sign in with Apple in the Riven app first?
Riven doesn't use passwords. When you sign in with Apple inside the app, your workouts are linked to your Apple ID. The connection page then uses the same Apple ID to find your workouts, so you must sign in with Apple in the app (Settings, then Profile) before you connect.
How do I disconnect?
Remove Riven from the connectors or apps list in your assistant's settings. Deleting your Riven profile also ends every connection immediately.
